Ok, call me crazy or stupid but the Shaker Pro Audio package say it includes 12 speakers, I only count 10. 2 in each door, 1 in each A pillar and 1 in the center of the dash, that's 7. 2 in the rear behind the seats and a sub in the trunk. That's 10. I've looked, I've listened.

What Is the Shaker 500? It Still Runs
The 2015 Mustang's Shaker Pro Audio with HD Radio system delivered 390 watts of total power. Sound was delivered via 12 speakers, including an eight-inch subwoofer. The trunk-mounted subwoofer was installed in such a way that cargo space was not affected, as is often the case with aftermarket stereos.

2020-12-6 3 Posts. #8 Oct 6, 2017. My husband has the shaker sound system in his '08 Bullitt and it sounds incredible. The sound system in my '17 Ecoboost is subpar, but I have gotten a lot better bass and sound through my phone using my Napster account. I did have to adjust the settings on my phone. I plan on building my own box in the near future.

2018-2-9 The Shaker Pro system has half the power, and the sub is pointless in stock configuration. But having had both systems, both sound terrible in stock form. The Shaker 1000 just needed an aftermarket head unit with a lot more adjust-ability (I had a Pioneer Avic Z3 old now but awesome in its day) in order to sound worlds better.

Upgrade to the 2013 Mustang Shaker 500
2012-4-5 The 8" door woofers are dual 1.2 ohm coils but that doesnt mean that they use a 4 channel amp. The replacement woofers are only single coil and only use the wires from one of the two channels. Ford was calling the shaker 500s an 8 speaker system. I guess they counted the 6x8s upfront as 2 speakers each.
